Mary Ann Somerville is a consultant with Triad Consulting. She is a trainer and executive coach, specializing in the fields of communication, difficult conversations, and leadership. Her clients include Genentech, Conoco, Lexmark, Accenture, Noranda, PwC, CIBC, Honda, Xilinx and HP.

In addition to her corporate clients, Mary Ann has worked with organizations across the globe. She has worked with the Prime Minister of Poland's executive committee to design and facilitate discussion on the topic of "Privatization and the World Bank". She has also delivered programs in teambuilding and collaborative problem solving for a range of organizations, including the Drucker Foundation and Americorps volunteers.

Mary Ann was for many years the National Enrollment Director and Director of Training for Insight Seminars, where she designed and facilitated programs for the personal and professional development of facilitators in Europe, South America, Canada, Russia and the United States.

She is a co-founder of the Gift of the Heart Seminar project. These seminars are funded through private donations and offered to patients, families, and caregivers who are dealing with the challenges of life-threatening illnesses. Ms. Somerville also co-founded one of the first Parent Cooperative Schools in the United States.

Mary Ann holds a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Theology. She lives in California, and when she is not on the road teaching and speaking, she is at work on a book that examines the structure of belief and it's influence on our perception of what is possible.
