We teach two executive programs at Harvard Law School, each of which ranks in the top few executive education offerings in the curriculum.
5-Day Difficult Conversations Course: "Advanced Negotiation Workshop: Improving Communication Skills"
Each June
We created and teach the "Advanced Negotiation Workshop: Improving Communication Skills" offered through Harvard's Program of Instruction for Lawyers.
This program is perhaps the most in-depth way for individuals to enhance their ability to handle their most challenging conversations. The course is focused on three types of difficulties:
(1) tactical difficulties,
(2) interpersonal difficulties, and
(3) structural difficulties.
During the course of the week participants are videotaped as they work on a real world challenge and receive one-on-one coaching from faculty on their situation and approach.
Who should attend? This course is offered through Harvard Law School's program of continuing education for practicing attorneys. Non-lawyers are also encouraged to apply. Participants are drawn from around the world, and consist of about 50% lawyers, and 50% business professionals, government officials, educators, journalists, consultants, psychologists, and those involved in the arts.
Enrollment is limited. Tuition is paid to Harvard Law School. For more information, a catalogue, or to register, click here to link to the PIL@PON programs now.
