Tom is a consultant for Triad, and the Managing Partner of CMPartners. Triad and CMPartners are the founding members of The Cambridge Alliance, a collaborative which is able to offer a broader and deeper range of negotiation and difficult conversations resources to corporate clients.

Tom advises on negotiation, change management and strategic relationship management. His clients have included Boeing, DaimlerChrysler, General Mills, JP Morgan Chase, Saudi Aramco, Microsoft, Intel, American Express and Morgan Stanley. Tom has also served as adjunct faculty to the IBM Executive Consulting Institute. In the public sector, Tom’s clients have included the UN Special Envoy for Peace to Burundi, the World Bank, the Organization of African Unity (OAU), the Foreign Affairs College of the People’s Republic of China, and the World Health Organization (WHO). Tom also manages executive negotiation training with The National University of Singapore.

Before co-founding CMPartners, Tom managed community-based development projects in East Africa and coordinating international war relief in rebel-held Sudan. There he founded and chaired the Torit Forum, coordinating field action among UN agencies, international relief organizations, local villages and rebel groups. Tom has also served with the Peace Corps and USAID in The Democratic Republic of the Congo.

While working at Harvard, Tom received the Danforth Award for teaching excellence. Tom has a Masters of Public Policy from Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
